MULESHOE, Texas — A former Muleshoe High School teacher has been indicted in federal court on an enticement charge stemming from allegations involving a minor student, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas announced September 9.
A federal grand jury in Lubbock returned an indictment charging 28-year-old Allegra Fey Mora with enticement of a minor. Federal prosecutors allege the charge concerns sexual conduct involving one of her students.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Texas Rangers began investigating in June 2026 after receiving a report of possible inappropriate sexual conduct between Mora and a 17-year-old Muleshoe High School student. Investigators conducted interviews, collected electronic evidence and executed search warrants. Prosecutors say evidence reviewed by investigators corroborated alleged explicit communications and conduct underlying the federal charge.
Mora had previously been arrested by state authorities and was released while those proceedings remained pending, according to the federal announcement.
The prosecution is part of the Northern District of Texas’s Project Safe Schools initiative, which focuses on educator misconduct, mandatory-reporting failures and practices that may allow educators accused of misconduct to move between schools without adequate disclosure.
If convicted, Mora faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years and up to life in federal prison. The potential penalty is not a sentence. An indictment is an allegation, and Mora is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
