Former Muleshoe High School Teacher Federally Indicted in Student Enticement Case

MULESHOE, Texas — A federal grand jury in Lubbock has indicted a former Muleshoe High School teacher on a charge of enticement of a minor, after the Texas Rangers opened an investigation into her relationship with a 17-year-old student, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas announced Sept. 9.

What the indictment alleges

Prosecutors say 28-year-old Allegra Fey Mora used a cellphone and other means of interstate commerce, between October 2025 and May 2026, to persuade, induce, entice and coerce a minor student into sexual activity. The Texas Rangers began investigating in June 2026 after receiving a report of possible inappropriate sexual conduct between Mora and the student. Investigators conducted interviews, collected electronic evidence and executed search warrants; the U.S. Attorney’s Office says that evidence corroborated alleged explicit communications and conduct underlying the federal charge.

Mora had previously been arrested by state authorities on related allegations and was released while those proceedings remained pending, according to the federal announcement. The federal indictment does not resolve that separate state case.

Part of a broader initiative

The prosecution falls under the Northern District of Texas’s Project Safe Schools initiative, which the U.S. Attorney’s Office says targets educator misconduct, mandatory-reporting failures, and practices that allow educators accused of misconduct to move between schools without adequate disclosure to their next employer.

The Texas Rangers investigated with forensic assistance from Homeland Security Investigations–Dallas. Assistant U.S. Attorney Callie Woolam is prosecuting the federal case.

If convicted, Mora faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years and up to life in federal prison. An indictment is an accusation, not a finding of guilt; Mora is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
